A look back at 2022 and the first full year running The Sidecar Inn Bed & Breakfast. So much has happened both here and around the world, but I’ll focus on our corner of the world.

In June of 2022 I retired from Siemens Molecular Imaging and a 25+ year career in radiation protection. For sure I never imagined when finishing graduate school in 1993 that this career would take me around the world but it did. The best part was meeting friends from all over, learning about other cultures, and especially enjoying new cuisines! This experience contributed to the idea to open a Bed & Breakfast, in order to continue meeting new folks from all over, as well as preparing simple but high quality breakfasts from scratch using the best ingredients I could find.

The most rewarding part of running a Bed & Breakfast is meeting people from all over, learning something about them and where they come from, and welcoming them to our little corner of the world. We’ve had fellow engineers and nurse practitioners, veterans, an IT manager, lawyers, sidecar enthusiasts, post-doc researchers, and retired folks. They all have a unique story, and we welcomed them all to be at home. One of my favorite comments is that it felt like home except with a way better cook! Come experience it for yourself at The Sidecar Inn!
