These Sevierville, Maryville, and Knoxville Restaurant Visits highlight the diversity of options for dining in the area. First up is Big Daddy’s Pizza in Sevierville. We visited the location at 1820 Parkway, but they also have locations in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. They are open from 11am to 9pm seven days a week, but be sure to call and check hours before you go. I ordered the Carnivore, with marinara sauce, a mozzarella-provolone blend of cheese, prosciutto, Italian sausage, pepperoni and freshly-seasoned ground beef. Deb did a “build-your-own” using green peppers, black olives, and ground beef, along with marinara sauce and the mozzarella-provolone blend of cheese.

Maryville
Our next stop was a long anticipated visit to The Italian Apron Market over in Maryville. They started as a food truck in 2019, and now have a storefront operation brining authentic Italian foods to east Tennessee. Scratch made pasta, sauces, and bread are available, as well as fully assembled dishes such as lasagna. I arrived in time for the day’s lunch special, a focaccia street sandwich. As you all know, I make plenty of bread here at The Sidecar Inn, and focaccia is one of my favorites so I was looking forward to trying their version. So much so that I also bought a loaf of focaccia to take home. During the 30 minute drive I consumed enough of it that I no longer had room for the sandwich, and saved it for dinner!
Knoxville
The last stop is at Abridged’s World Headquarters at 320 North Peters Road in Knoxville. The original location in Bearden has long topped my list of best burgers so I was sure their new Cedar Bluff spot would also be good. I was not disappointed! The burger special was the Blue Brit, with a Worcestershire aioli, Arcadian greens, blue cheese crumbles, and cayenne potatoes. It was phenomenal as expected! Abridged has a wide selection of their won beers. I went with a Salt line, which was a oak-aged citrus zest and salt sour.
