I recently visited the Seymour Farmers Market on a gorgeous Saturday morning. It is located at the First Baptist Church of Seymour on Chapman Highway. There is a nice selection of vendors for both food items and arts & crafts. First though, Kiera and I took a stroll around the walking path.

We had some views of the market area but also of the mountains behind Sevierville.

This was where I first met Grant from Beech Grove Farms. He runs a regenerative farm located in Seymour on 22 acres, and it was established in 2019. I use his eggs and pork products for breakfasts at The Sidecar Inn Bed & Breakfast. We had several guests comment on how good the eggs taste, even when simply scrambled with a little salt & pepper!

We also picked up some amazingly delicious “Peaches & Cream” corn. I used some of it in a shrimp and corn chowder. it also included homemade shrimp stock using some of the head-on shrimp I had brought back from a recent visit to New Orleans to attend the Compassionate Friends conference.
