I have made two visits to Brewskies and Bites over the past couple of weeks. My first was on May 28th, just a couple of days after they opened. Unfortunately I had not yet received my renewed driver’s license and they did not accept the paper temporary copy, so I had to settle for water to wash down the cajun boiled peanuts. After browsing the food menu I opted for the fried chicken hoagie. It comes with “sidewinder” fries. The chicken on the sandwich was perfectly cooked and dressed with lettuce, tomato, mayo, and hot spicy pickles. Very enjoyable! The fries are sort of a chunky curly fry, and also quite good.

All in all a very good first impression!

For my next visit I brought Deb along. This time I had my newly issued driver’s license and splurged on a Miller High Life pony bottle! Honestly it is the perfect size for me nowadays but they do have a nice selection of beers. On this second visit I went with the fish sandwich, which arrived dressed similarly as the fried chicken hoagie, and was a good portion size. Deb went with the chicken tenders dinner, which included quite large pieces of perfectly fried chicken. I had a couple of the leftovers for lunch a day later, and they were very tasty!

Brewskies & Bites is located at 168 Maryville Hwy in Seymour. We have a wide range of dining options for guests to explore on their visit to The Sidecar Inn. While many report that they did not need lunch after a filling breakfast at the B&B, they have enjoyed dinner at many of the area restaurants. I will be adding Brewskies and Bites to that list!
