Can you tell what my favorite side dish is from the photos in this post??

The Bluffs in Sevierville has a great selection of lunch specials through the week. While putting the photos together for this post I noticed a common theme in my choice of side dish! The potato, in all of its many forms, has long been a favorite but tater tots are at the top of the list for me. For many years as I recall it was often served with the school lunches. I think it is the crispy texture due to all the edges that is the single best thing about them. This same aspect is likely why I also prefer crinkle cut fries over any other style. On to the lunches!

First up is a visit where my wife tagged along. She ordered the sliders with a side of fries, while I went with the buffalo chicken mac and cheese. There was plenty of the mac and cheese to have for lunch the next day. It wasn’t too spicy, and a little hot sauce would perk it up some. All in all a solid choice. Even without any tater tots!

My next visit was on a Tuesday, so I opted for the spicy fish tacos with tots. The breading on the fish was just about right, and there was a bit of a kick to it.

It wasn’t burger Monday on my next stop at Bluffs, but I was hankering for one so I went with a bleu cheese burger! With tots. As you can see from the photo, this definitely required some work to dig into, but it was worthwhile. There are a lot of great burger places but I would put Bluffs solidly in the upper part of the options for a burger.

My next visit was on a Thursday, but the fish tacos sounded good, and they WERE good too! I really only needed one, as the filets were quite large. Tots on the side that were perfectly cooked as usual.

Back to a Burger Monday visit, with the classic cheeseburger with all the toppings and….wait for it…tots! I opted to sit at the bar this time, just to change my perspective a little bit.

My next two visits were also on a Monday so a burger and tots. I promise on my next visit I will venture a bit deeper in the menu. I can say that the club sandwiches are very good, as is the chili.
