The Sidecar Inn from the front

The Sidecar Inn

The Sidecar Inn Bed & Breakfast occupies the historic Thomas Brabson house, completed in 1854. There are three bedrooms available for guests, each with a private bath. The guest entrance is located at the front of the house, up the original stone steps, and under a Federal-style portico. A swing on one side provides a relaxing spot to read.

Guests will find much of the original woodwork, including the Tennessee red pine wide-plank flooring, handrail and trim on the front stairs, fireplace mantels, and the shiplap exterior and interior. We have furnished the inn with antique pieces as much as possible.

Homemade breakfast of waffles, bacon, banana, and berries.

Homemade Breakfasts

A full multi-course breakfast is served each morning. Most baked goods, including sourdough breads, cookies, and cinnamon rolls, are homemade.

Do you have food allergies or dietary preferences? Please let us know before your arrival. We are more than happy to accommodate vegetarians, vegans, or any food allergies.

Leaving early? To-go breakfast items can be provided with prior notice.

Coffee and tea will be available from early morning through late afternoon.

We were on the road exploring the Knoxville area and we were so fortunate that the Sidecar Inn was available for our stay! This B&B has everything you’d expect: a property with a wonderful breakfast room and solid local history, fantastic nourishing food, and resourceful and kind innkeepers. We’re both fast paced people and it was such a pleasure to treat ourselves to locally sourced food, pleasant conversation and a comfortable room. We learned so much about the area from Roger and Deb. They really went above and beyond. Thank you!

The Sidecar Inn is an amazing, cozy, beautiful bed and breakfast with lovely and gracious hospitality. Roger and Deb made us feel right at home, taking the time to share some local history and answer our numerous questions. The breakfast Roger prepared was fresh and delicious, and we were unhurried through our entire stay. We loved the coffee, too! The Sidecar Inn is a great value, too. We will definitely return for another stay, and will be sure to recommend the Inn to all of our friends.

Sidecar Inn is a dream for anyone looking for an authentic B&B experience. Roger and Deb have done a beautiful job converting and decorating the home from the 1850s. Our room was lovely- great bed, antique period furniture, and nice linens- with a modern bathroom. The food is a real highlight. Roger makes everything from scratch (including home-baked bread) with fresh, locally sourced produce, eggs, and meat. He and Deb are the kind of innkeepers that make B&Bs an experience worth seeking out. They helped us celebrate my dad’s 75th birthday with a beautiful brunch and surprise birthday decorations. We can’t wait to stay with them again.

We stayed at the Side Car Inn recently and it was wonderful. Beautiful old home just outside of the hustle and bustle of Sevierville. Roger and Deb were great hosts and their dog Kierra was very friendly. The breakfast was amazing, best stuffed french toast we've ever had and Roger makes his own bread, be sure to buy a loaf if he has any left over. Nice to have found this gem for a weekend getaway to relax and enjoy life.We high recommend this inn, you will come away relaxed and very happy.

My wife and I were traveling from Cleveland, OH to the Greenvillee, SC area last weekend and found the Sidecar Inn to be the perfect stopover to break our drive. The Inn was clean and comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed the delicious breakfast of stuffed french toast, fresh berries, scrambled eggs and coffee. Roger was welcoming and hospitable and provided great suggestions for dinner nearby. We highly recommend the Sidecar Inn and will definitely make plans to stay again in future.

We stayed at the Side Car Inn for two nights. It is quiet, clean and easy to get to. It's also an interesting historic home. Roger and Deb were the perfect hosts. Breakfast was outstanding. It is close enough to the Park for easy access; Roger provided great suggestions for things to do and see.

Kiera the dog in our sidecar

In addition to owning a sidecar rig, which consists of a 1995 Harley-Davidson FLHR and a 1998 Liberty Classic sidecar, we also have a dog on-site. Kiera joined us from the Sevier Animal Care Center in February 2022. She is about 7 years old and is a 50/50 mix of Australian Shepherd and German Shepherd breeds. While she usually stays in our private living area, she enjoys enthusiastically greeting our guests with a warm welcome, followed by some friendly sniffing. She is a sweet girl who adores ear scratches and belly rubs. Occasionally, Kiera even makes appearances in our newsletter.
