I named this post “Walking the Dog” because of the ever growing collection of photos taken in a variety of beautiful places while walking Kiera. Our favorites include Seven Islands State Birding Park, the Sevierville Park, both sides of the West Prong Greenway between Chapman Highway and the Parkway, and the walking paths at the Baptist Church in Seymour.
The first set of photos above are from Seven Islands Birding State Park, just a mile or so away as the bird flies, but around ten miles by car.
This next slideshow is from the West Prong Greenway in Sevierville. We’ve walked both sides, and have walked it from the Sevierville City Park, which is the far terminus. I hadn’t realized a burial mound was near the greenway, and I don’t recall seeing any signs for it. Next time I’ll definitely look for it.

Of course “Walking the Dog” refers to a fairly easy YoYo move. I say easy because it was about the only one I could ever pull off!
Another “Walking the Dog” is a song from 1963 by Rufus Thomas. His song was recorded by many other bands over the years following. A few of them: Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels, Spirit, Aerosmith, John Cale, and Rick Derringer.
