A recent article from the Visit My Smokies web site on the arrival of four new restaurants to Sevierville and Pigeon Forge caught my eye this morning. I looked for updates from the individual restaurants, but it seems none have opened as yet. When they do I will be sure to check them out and write about it here.

Lobsters! Beer!

The one that got my attention was Pinchy’s Lobster & Beer Co. Always up for a new seafood place! Check out their Facebook page as well for updates, and sign up for a Friends & Family Dinner giveaway. Opening October 5th.

“Real barbeque is all smoke and beers.”

The above is the tagline from the soon-to-open Trotter’s BBQ. While I am not a connoisseur of BBQ, I do appreciate a good plate of pulled pork now and then. This restaurant is an affiliate of The Appalachian, which is one of our favorite restaurants around. Keep an eye out for this one if you like BBQ.

Pigeon Forge’s first rooftop bar

The Azul Cantina Restaurant is going to be located 2655 Teaster Lane, in The Tower Shops development. The projected opening is in late spring of this year. The text below comes from their web site and has my interest!

Azul Cantina has a flavorful twist on traditional Tex-Mex dining using wood-fire grilling methods in traditional Mexican cooking styles with roots from South America to Texas. Our recipes are made from scratch with authentic ingredients and pair well with our homemade cerveza-style lager and hand-crafted cocktails featuring top shelf tequilas and our own Agave distilled spirits. The welcoming atmosphere is felt through bright decor, friendly staff, and beautiful views from the first rooftop bar in Pigeon Forge, TN.

Blaze Pizza, a chain of “Fast Fire’d” pizza joints is opening a new location in Pigeon Forge. No word yet on where or when, but if you like their pizza then be sure to check the web site.
